Getting to Ottawa

By Air

Ottawa International Airport receives more than 130 non-stop flights daily from more than 50 destinations in Canada, the U.S., the Caribbean, and Europe. The airport is 16 kilometres/10 miles from downtown Ottawa. Average cost of a taxi from the airport to downtown Ottawa is $35 Cdn.

By Rail

Passenger service to the Ottawa region is provided by Via Rail. The train station is located in the southeast section of the city. Taxi and bus service is readily available. Average cost of a taxi from the train station to downtown Ottawa is $20 Cdn.

By Road

The Ottawa Region is serviced by Voyageur Colonial Bus Lines and Greyhound from the main downtown bus station. There is hourly service from Montr?al (two hours way) and several runs daily from Toronto (five hours away). Ottawa is a one-hour drive north of the Canada/US border.
